QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q: How often should I change my engine oil and filter?
A: We recommend customers who drive in a city environment where there is a lot of stop-and-go driving to change the oil and filter every 3-5,000 miles. The main reason we recommend 3-5,000 mile intervals is that driving in stop-and-go conditions causes excessive unburned fuel and carbon build up which causes your engine oil to become contaminated. Oil is the life blood of your engine and changing it at regular intervals will increase the longevity of your engine and reduce the potential for major mechanical failures. For those who drive in highway cruising conditions we recommend changing your oil and filter every 5,000 miles or follow the manufacturers recommendations. It is important to check the oil level between services to avoid running the engine low on oil.
